# RedactLocal Terms of Service & Software License

## 1. License Grant
RedactLocal is licensed, not sold. When you purchase a license (Founder $39, Professional $49, or Firm $199), you receive a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use RedactLocal on your designated devices according to your purchased seat tier.

- **No Recurring Subscriptions**: Your license is valid for lifetime use of the purchased major version.
- **Offline Guarantee**: The software does not require an active internet connection to remain activated.
- **Seat Allowances**:
  - Founder / Professional: 1 user, up to 2 personal devices (e.g. desktop + laptop).
  - Team 5-Pack: Up to 5 users within a single legal, accounting, or medical firm.

## 2. Privacy & Compliance Warranties
RedactLocal warrants that:
1. It does not transmit document contents, metadata, or telemetry over the internet.
2. When surgical redaction is executed and verified through our 7-Oracle audit room, targeted character glyph operators are eradicated from the content stream and not merely covered with an opaque visual mask.

## 3. User Responsibility & Court Rules
While RedactLocal provides statutory pattern detection (FRCP 5.2, HIPAA Safe Harbor) and surgical bytecode excision, legal compliance remains the ultimate responsibility of the filing party. Users must review detected redaction queues before final court or regulatory filing.
